Why 1888?

In 1888, a Janesville telegraphy teacher got tired of repairing the leaky pens he sold on the side, so he made a better one. George Parker's side gig became one of the best known pen companies in the world. In 1920 it moved into this building, which opened with a lounge the newspaper called an innovation. We're bringing the lounge back.

This building opens on Court Street, lounge and diamond room included.

1930

An addition brings an employee clubhouse for company gatherings.

2026

A full renovation of One Parker Place begins.

2027

1888 Coworking opens on the third floor.
